Grateful for Gifts
Cooper has received so many wonderful great gifts. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! Here are a few of the most creative gifts.
These blocks were designed by Ashley, a family friend, and given to Cooper by Grandma Cathy. All proceeds go to the Happy Hearts Fund. Here is a link to the designinghope.com and the blog with Ashley's work. Website Blog

Tom's cousin Shaleen made Cooper this adorable piggy bank. Shaleen is very creative and talented, and she picked the color to match Cooper's bedroom. Right now Cooper is about the same size as his little piggy bank. We are going to use it to teach Cooper all about money management. :)

Lego Fest 2011
L-letting
E-everyone
G-generate
O-originality
Yesterday we went to the Minneapolis Convention Center to experience Lego Fest 2011. Now that we have a child, we want to show him everything. Tom was thrilled to take Cooper to Lego Fest. It was quite a spectacle. There were lots of life size Lego model figurines, like the lion with Cooper in his mouth or the Star Wars Bounty Hunter that is pointing his gun at Cooper (what kind of parents are we?!?!). We saw moms and dads sitting on the floor with their kids in large piles of Legos (someday maybe.) And there was a Lego group activity where you could help build the United States out of Legos. We will start teaching Cooper how to build things out of Legos so that someday he can appreciate the Lego Fest.

First Haircut
My friend Erin gave Cooper his first haircut today, just a trim around the ears and neck. I got my hair done too. :) Look at her little daughter Kennedi (16 months). She's adorable.

All 'Hail' the Twins
Last Tuesday we went to the Twins' game. Cooper stayed home with Grandma Nadine and Grandpa Tom. It was a crazy game with heat and humidity, rain, and then a hail storm. The twins ended up losing, but it was quite an experience. MLB article, Star Tribune article. Here are a few pics.

Under the Sea
We are up north for our first mini-vacation. Yesterday we took Cooper to the aquarium. Again, he was sleeping through a lot of it, but he still enjoyed the trip.
We saw lots of animals. They had fish, turtles, seals, birds, and a sting ray.
Cooper wanted to touch the sting ray, just like the girls. Not quite yet buddy.
P.S. Yes, Bev, I am posting this at 3a.m. Cooper just got done eating, and I'm trying to get him back to bed. :)
