Back to work

I said I wouldn't cry going back to work today. I mean Cooper has the best daycare (grandma Nadine and grandpa Tom), and I love my job. But as I drove off this morning, I looked in my rear view mirror, and Cooper wasn't there. And I cried. I am so in love with this little kid.

Wizard of Oz

Today Grandma Cathy, Chelsea, and Cooper went to St. Joe's to see Allie and Taylor preform in the Wonderful Wizard of Oz. It was Cooper's first play, and he loved it. Ally and Taylor were great. They had tons of lines and did well with their roles. Ally was Aunty Em and the Wizard's secretary and Taylor played the Good Witch of the North.

Up North Again

We went up north this week for few days with our friends Kelly and Benjamin. Here Benjamin was trying to soothe Cooper by putting his pacifier (nit nit) back into his mouth. We has a great night near Canal Park and saw Kelly's family on a sailboat. We went swimming, played, ate ice cream and relaxed. It was so much fun.

BOSTON

We had so much fun in Boston, MA!!! It was our first family vacation. We were there 8/4-8/8.

We took a boat ride and followed the Freedom trail from the USS Constitution to Boston Common. On this trip Cooper was on his first boat, subway, and taxi. We saw street performers by Quincy Market, the Old North Church, Paul Revere's House, and the Bunker Hill Monument. We loved listening to the street musicians in the park.

We had great Italian food and seafood. Chelsea loved the clam chowder and Italian rice balls.  Tom loved the lobster rolls. We checked out The Barking Crab, Legal Seafood, Mike's Pastry, James Hook, and a festival in the North End.

We went to Fenway Park to watch the Red Sox take on the Yankees.  The game was broadcast as the Sunday night game on ESPN. It was a classic match up. It was a long game (almost 4 hours) that ended with Mariano Rivera blowing a save and the Red Sox winning in the 10th inning 3-2. Cooper wore a tee-shirt that said, "The Yankees stink just like my diaper." Everyone thought he was so cute. Random strangers were coming up asking to take his picture.

Swimming in the pool

Cooper's new thing is swimming in the pool. He's been 3 times now. He's not sure if he likes it or not. He doesn't hate swimming; he would surely let us know if he hated it. He just balls himself up into a tight ball and takes it all in. He'll have clenched fists, no visible neck, and scrunched up legs. Here are a few pictures of him when he fell asleep in the pool. :) We'll try to post some video soon.
